York
York is one of England’s oldest cities and is a fascinating and lively place to stay. The city is compact and the people are very friendly so it is easy to make contact with the locals. The city has something for everyone: a wide choice of restaurants, pubs and bars, great shopping opportunities, several world-famous museums, including the Jorvik Viking Museum and the National Railway Museum, as well as Europe’s largest Gothic cathedral.
We arrange optional evening and weekend activities such as ghost walks, brewery tours, 10-pin bowling and visits to theatres, pubs and restaurants.
York is easy to reach and is half way between London and Edinburgh. You can fly to Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle or London and come by train or taxi. You can also come by car and take the ferry to Hull or Newcastle. In any case, we will be happy to advise you on the best way to get to SLS.
