How to get to York

York has excellent transport links from major airports and ferry terminals.

From Manchester Airport

There is a frequent train service from Manchester Airport to York. The journey takes about two hours and costs about £30 return. From Leeds/Bradford Airport

From London Heathrow

Take the underground to King's Cross Station (Piccadilly Line). There is a regular, direct train service to York and the journeytakes approximately two hours.

From Newcastle Airport

Take the Metro to Newcastle Central Station, the journey is 23 minutes. From Newcastle Central Station there is a direct train service to York. The journey takes one hour and costs about £24 return. A taxi costs about £95.

From Hull or Newcastle Ferry Terminals

Hull is about one hour from York by car. Newcastle is about two hours from York by car.
