How to get to York

From Manchester Airport
There is a frequent train service from Manchester Airport to York. The journey takes about two hours and costs about £30 return. If participants would like a taxi pick up, please send us flight details so we can arrange this. The journey takes about two hours and costs about £80, the special SLS agreed rate with a York taxi company. Please note that the taxi driver will only accept Pounds Sterling.
From Leeds/Bradford Airport
We will arrange a taxi, so please send us flight details. The journey takes about 45 minutes and costs about £35, the special SLS agreed rate with a York taxi company. Please note that the taxi driver will only accept Pounds Sterling.
From London Heathrow
Take the underground to King's Cross Station (Piccadilly Line). There is a regular, direct train service to York and the journeytakes approximately two hours.
From Newcastle Airport
Take the Metro to Newcastle Central Station, the journey is 23 minutes. From Newcastle Central Station there is a direct train service to York. The journey takes one hour and costs about £24 return. A taxi costs about £95.
From Hull or Newcastle Ferry Terminals
Hull is about one hour from York by car. Newcastle is about two hours from York by car.
